Skibidi, Delulu, Tradwife and Lewk are among the 6,212 new words, phrases and meanings added to the Cambridge Dictionary During last year.

Meanwhile, “Lewk” is a playful turn in the word “appearance”, which means a distinctive style or outfit, especially one that is bold or striking.
In A statementColin McIntosh, manager of lexical programs in Cambridge Dictionary, said that the increase in words such as Skibidi and Delulu shows how Internet culture is remodeling the English language in a lasting way.
“Not every day you can see words like Skibidi and Delulu in the Cambridge dictionary,” Mcintosh said. “We only add words where we believe they will have power of permanence. Internet culture is changing the English language and the effect is fascinating to observe and capture in the dictionary.”
