The reward for the arrest of the two remaining inmates who left a New Orleans prison this month has more than duplicated to $ 50,000, the authorities announced Thursday, since the police said that they believe they are closing the “dangerous” fugitives.
Antoine Massey and Derrick Groves are among the 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16, according to the Louisian State Police.
In the almost two weeks since then, eight of the inmates have been captured, but Massey and Groves remain fleeing, police said.

There are now rewards for a total of $ 50,000 per inmate for councils that lead to their arrest, according to the Superintendent of the Louisian State Police, Colonel Robert Hodges. That includes that Greater New Orleans, the FBI and the Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, Fire and Explosives are offered, said.
Hodges said the police have “some potential clients” about where the remaining two fugitives are, although they still need advice due to the movement of men.
“We are sure that we are approaching the remaining two escapes, and that we should have them in custody soon,” he said during a press conference on Thursday. “We are resistant, and although they are going to tire and frustrate while trying to move through Louisiana or move around the metropolitan area, they know that the walls are approaching.”
The authorities urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of the two fugitives to communicate and recognize that it can be difficult.
“We understand, together with our police partners, that some of you could be informing a friend, a loved one, a relative and, although it is not easy, it is essential for their safety and the security of the public that report that” Walter Martin, head of the United States, the head of the United States for the Eastern District of Louisiana, said during the informative session.
Martin promised to recover the “dangerous inmates.” One of them, Groves, was recently condemned by two second -degree murder positions in a Tiring of the Mardi Gras Day of 2018 and faces a life sentence no chain without the possibility of probation, prosecutors said. Subsequently, he also declared guilty of two charges of involuntary homicide, according to online judicial records.

Hodges warned that anyone who helps the remaining fugitives will be arrested and processed.
“Now is the time to make the right decision,” he said.
Crimeppers of the president and executive director of Greater New Orleans, Darlene Cusanza, said Thursday that the organization received almost 700 tips related to the escape of the inmates, resulting in the arrest of three of them. An inmate was arrested within 30 minutes of receiving the tip, he said. Three $ 10,000 will be paid, he said.
The 10 inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center in the early hours of May 16 after climbing through a hole behind a bathroom. His disappearance was not noticed for several hours and went out of a massive humanity.

More than a dozen people have been arrested on suspicion of helping the escapes, including another inmate in jail and a prison maintenance worker who is accused of closing the water to the toilet, which allows the escapes to eliminate it.
Three of the 10 inmates who escaped were arrested in New Orleans within the first 24 hours of Jailbreak. The others were captured in the following days, even in Baton Rouge and two in Texas.
The eight captured inmates have been transported to a safe state installation in Louisiana, Hodges said.
