The missing clothes of the student of the University of Pittsburgh Sudiksha Konanki found himself on the beach of the Dominican Republic, where the authorities believe they saw her last time to swim, two police sources said with knowledge of the investigation to ABC News on Monday.

Konanki, 20, a legal resident of the United States and Indian citizen, disappeared early on Thursday while she and a group of students were on a spring vacation trip to a resort in Punta Cana, according to the Sheriff’s office in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Konanki and one of his travel companions were residents of the Loudoun County, said the Sheriff’s office.

A man stayed with Konanki on the beach, according to a police investigation report from the Dominican Republic. The man, whose name was not released, told the police that he and Konanki went to swim and were caught by a great wave, according to the police report.

The man, according to Fuentes, told the Police that when he returned to the beach he vomited and went to sleep in a beach bed. When he woke up, Konanki had not seen anywhere, the sources said.

The security video showed the man who returned to his hotel room at 9:55 am, according to the sources.

The man is not considered suspicious in the death of Konanki, said the Civil Defense Chief of the Dominican Republic on Monday to ABC News.

Police authorities are increasing the perimeter of the beaches and water search area in the operation ongoing to find Konanki, according to the boss.

Three Dominican officials involved in the investigation told ABC News during the weekend that Konanki is believed to drowned in the ocean.

The last time Konanki was seen on the beach in images of security cameras was around 4:15 am on Thursday, said the Public Ministry of the Dominican Republic to ABC News.

The Public Ministry was first contacted by the United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic on Friday, the Ministry said.

The authorities said that Konanki’s friends who were with her at the time of her disappearance were interrogated by the police and were not accused of crimes.
